My Kind Of Town...Chicago Is...

I walk the maze of moments
But everywhere I turn to
Begins a new beginning
But never finds a finish
I walk to the horizon
And there I find another
It all seems so surprising
And then I find that I know

You go there you're gone forever
I go there I'll lose my way
If we stay here we're not together
Anywhere is...

To leave the thread of all time
And let it make a dark line
In hopes that I can still find
The way back to the moment
I took the turn and turned to
Begin a new beginning
Still looking for the answer
I cannot find the finish

Done. With. Finals!!!!!!  Woohoo! Two more papers and I'm done with this semester! Which is really sad, actually...

Loving and enjoying my time that's left here in Spain.  I'm going to miss a lot of people from this trip. What a great semester!!!

I'm keeping my advanced grammar book. I love it that much. I'm also trying to eat as much tortilla espanola I can before I come home...though my Mom assures me she can make is just as tasty. Can't wait to try it! :)

Forgot about this. Some wonderful (quotable) memories from our weekend in Africa:

Laura: I wonder how I will explain this to my parents.

Me: What do you mean, the camel?

Laura: No...the fact that we're here...in Morocco...I didn't exactly tell them we were coming here...

Marie: Will these cookies help me digest?

Britt: Hope you have a Euro.

Laura: I’m sorry, I just realized that I’ve been eating all of your nuts.

Meg: It’s okay, my nuts are up for grabs.

Me: This is not what I expected of Africa or Morocco

Marie: Why, what did you expect?

Me: A little more Aladdin and a little less Palm Beach.

I’m not going to lie!  I’m very uncomfortable up here!

-Laura

Meg: Want some of this, Britt?

Britt: Nope, I still don’t trust you, poopy pants.

Does Africa have a theme song?

-Britt

PULL!

-Meg

Any of you girls looking for a husband?

-anonymous man in Morocco

I’m going to go pray.  I’ll pray for you guys, too.

-Ulsef our amazing tour guide

My hair looked horrible by the way, by the way [extremely confused look].

-Meg

Meg: We can go camping in Glacier sometime.

Britt: Are there glaciers there?

Meg: No.

Britt: Then I don’t want to go.

That’s exactly what she said to me, verbatim…except in Spanish. -Meg

We went to Madrid, Segovia, and Toledo this past week. I loved the Prado. And Starbucks. Weather was rough, and I'm sick of looking at churches. Other than that, Great Weekend! :)  Making the most of the remaining time I have here! Finals this week! Done with class on Friday! Woohoo!

Everyone leaves in 10 days. Weird.

I leave for Ibiza in 11 :)

And then take off traveling in 13. Holla!

I lied. There will not be a huge Greece update because I am running out of time in Spain.

Greece was great! i love greece, but greece hates me. haha. During the first 24 hours we had a "budget hotel" mix-up, we lost (and later found) my tour book of Athens, Paul stepped in "chocolate ice cream", I nearly got kicked out of the Acropolis for "defiling a statue", and a possessed ATM machine ate my ATM card.  After that, the trip was amazing! We saw all of Athens in a day thanks to Paul who knew everything. The Acropolis was mind blowing. I can't wait to go to Athens with Nate!!! We also saw the old Olympic Stadium, The temple of Zeus, Hadrian's arch, old ampitheatres, the Agora, the Plaka, and much more. We went to Sunion the following day to see the temple of Poseidon.

On Monday, our cruise started. Contiki is amazing, I highly suggest their tours. We ended up going to: Mikonos, Turkey (Ephasus), Patmos, Rhodes, Crete, and Santorini.  My fave city was Ephasus where we saw where Paul preached to the Ephesians. My fave island was SANTORINI! Absolutely gorgeous. Wished we had passed more time there!

We had two more days in Athens and spent the nights going out with the kids from our Contiki tour and celebrating Amy's birthday twice! Hilarious times to say the least! Best vacation EVER!! Can't wait to go back!

This past weekend Laura, Marie, Meg, and I went to Tangier, Morocco.  We went 4 girls strong, with no map, knowing no arabic, and with no place to stay. Not the smartest decision, but it all worked out! We found a great guide at the boat port who took us to a lovely hotel and on a great tour! Couldn't believe all that my EYES saw and all that I experienced! I got to ride 2 camels, too! WOOHOO! It was quite the adventure, but the nightlife scared us a bit, so we stayed in at our hotel and left the next afternoon.  GREAT WEEKEND TRIP TO AFRICA! :) love those girls.

It was really nice to come back to Denia, though. I've been traveling a little, and it was great to have a "home" to return to. The entire family came over for lunch yesterday and it was so much fun! I love my mama and Raul!

We leave on Thursday for Madrid and then Finals come. Cannot believe my time here is almost up. I am highly anticipating my Eurotrip with Nate, though! So close!

Life. Is. Good.

This song sums up how we're all feeling right now in Spain.

I apologize for all the typos. Instead of being great at English and ok at Spanish, I now can't speak or write in either! haha
